The American Legion Post 91, S.A.L., and Auxiliary members held a free Thanksgiving Dinner, Wednesday, November 23 for their Veterans and members. This was very well attended at the Sunburst Highway Post, plus dinners were delivered to some of our home-bound veterans. After everyone was served their meals, the Legion provided the Local EMS, Dorchester Sheriff, 911 Dispatch, Cambridge City Police, and Maryland State Police with hot meals as well. This dinner is made possible by a very generous gift from a
JA Inspireis a hands-on, interactive two-day event that partners eighth-grade students with local business representatives from the seven counties in our coverage area – Talbot, Caroline, Dorchester, Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset and Accomack. The event allows students a chance to see the opportunities that await in their own backyard. JA Inspire offers hands-on, interactive activities designed to make an impact with students.
