The Dorchester Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to host a nonpartisan civics competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Participating 6th, 7th and 8th graders will flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes. Finalists will be invited to Washington, DC to compete in the National Civics Bee National Championship in Fall 2026. Cash and other prizes are available for
SALISBURY – TidalHealth will hold a free chronic kidney disease (CKD) webinar from 1 to 2:30 pm on Jan. 21, 2026. The community is invited to attend to learn how to slow disease progression and monitor kidney health. During the event, TidalHealth’s chronic disease nurses will present on slowing disease progression, monitoring kidney health, diet, dialysis and transplant options, and financial considerations. The City of Cambridge through the Make Cambridge Resilient Initiative has opened the opportunity to see the installation of a model earthen berm on December 3, 2025. The purpose of this model earthen berm is to visually display a portion of the flood mitigation project in the Long Wharf area, as requested by the community.
