Saints Peter & Paul School commemorated Veterans Day and honored Veterans at three separate ceremonies during the week of November 6.

Easton, MD: Saints Peter & Paul School proudly commemorated Veterans Day at three separate ceremonies during the week of November 6.

Elementary School: It was a blessing to dedicate our weekly prayer service on Wednesday morning, November 8, to honor those who have served our Country so selflessly. Elementary students created a beautiful backdrop illustrating a poppy field. Our choir led our whole school in singing patriotic hymns and songs and fourth graders presented prayers of gratitude and blessing for our Veterans. Children created cards and posters for the Veterans present as well as for the VFW and American Legion.

Middle School Choir: Students from the Saints Peter & Paul Middle School Choir sang for the Veterans at the Easton VFW on Friday morning, November 10. The selections were: "The Lord Bless You and Keep You"; and our "Armed Forces Medley!”, which is always a favorite.

High School: Veterans, Parishioners, Parents and guests joined our High School students at a Flag Raising Ceremony and Prayer Service on Friday morning, November 10 at Saints Peter & Paul High School. Our Pastor, Father James Nash, presided over the prayer service, the Easton Civil Air Patrol (including two of our SSPP students) served as the Color Guard, our students recited the readings and offered petitions for prayer. A newly-erected flagpole, was also blessed as part of the Prayer Service.
