MSG's Summer Exhibit, "Through the Lens of Mike Dougherty: In Plain Sight" For July and August, Main Street Gallery is pleased to be showing the wildlife photographs of Dorchester County resident, Mike Dougherty. Mike's work focuses on the varied and majestic wildlife found in regional forests, rivers and bays and even in the photographer's own backyard. Main Street Gallery is delighted to showcase the works of local painter Laura Jenkins for its spring show, titled “Sunrise to Sunset… and a few things in between”. Raised on Maryland’s Eastern Shore Laura has a love of the area’s natural beauty which is clearly evident in her work. She says she draws deep inspiration for her oil paintings from the “region’s quiet marshes, open skies and dramatic sunsets”. In 2024 New Jersey artist and teacher, Chris Carter, returned home to a nightmare. A devastating flood to her basement studio had destroyed a lifetime of her work.
