EASTON, MD (January 26, 2026) - Following the impacts of Winter Storm Fern, University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UM SRH) is resuming services across its five-county service area, with some locations opening on a delayed schedule to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and team members.
The following services and locations will open and operate as scheduled on Tuesday, January 27, 2026:
- All in-hospital elective procedures
- Diagnostic testing conducted within hospital facilities at UM Shore Medical Centers at Chestertown and Easton
- Pain Center, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Behavioral Health services located within hospital facilities at Chestertown and Easton
- The Orthopedic Center in Easton
- Ambulatory Surgery Center, Laboratory Imaging, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, diagnostic testing, and Rehabilitation services at the Medical Pavilion in Cambridge
The following locations will have a
delayed opening at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27:
- Easton Outpatient Surgery Center
- UM Shore Cancer Center, Easton
- Diagnostic & Imaging Center, Easton
- Outpatient Laboratory locations in Chestertown, Denton and Easton
- Outpatient Imaging locations in Denton, Easton, and Queenstown
- Outpatient Rehabilitation locations in Denton and Queenstown
- Clark Comprehensive Breast Center, Easton
- All Shore Medical Group practice offices
Outpatient Laboratory services at UM Shore Medical Pavilion in Queenstown WILL NOT OPEN
UM Shore Regional Health's hospitals and Emergency Centers remain open and available to provide care.
While services are resuming, patients are reminded that snow and ice that melt during the day may refreeze overnight, creating hazardous travel conditions. Patients are encouraged to allow extra travel time, use caution when traveling, and contact their medical provider directly if they have questions or concerns before coming to an appointment
