The Rotary Club of Cambridge has kicked off the 2026 Flags for Heroes campaign. This is an uplifting community tribute that honors the everyday heroes who make a difference in our lives: veterans and active-duty service members, first responders, medical professionals, educators, mentors, and neighbors who lead with courage and compassion.
Each sponsored American flag is displayed as part of a powerful public field of flags, and each one includes a personalized honoree plaque recognizing the individual you are honoring.
To make the kickoff more engaging and community-centered, Rotary is adding a Flag Raising & Dedication Ceremony at the start of the display. At our ceremony, sponsors will be invited to participate in placing their flag and (optionally) have their honoree’s name recognized during the program. This creates an experience that is more personal than simply seeing a name on a tag—bringing families, friends, and neighbors together in a moment of gratitude and reflection.
