SALISBURY – Charles “Charlie” Kim, MD has recently joined TidalHealth as Medical Director for Ambulatory Anesthesia sites. TidalHealth ambulatory anesthesia sites include the TidalHealth Delmarva Endoscopy Center in Ocean Pines, Md., TidalHealth Surgery Center in Salisbury, Md., and our future ambulatory site in Millsboro, DE.
Dr. Kim is board-certified in anesthesiology and is a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. He completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Maryland Medical System.
In his role as Ambulatory Anesthesiology Medical Director, Dr. Kim will provide anesthesia patient services as well as medical direction and coordination for anesthesia care across TidalHealth’s ambulatory surgical sites. “As TidalHealth expands its services to meet the needs of our region, Dr. Kim will play a vital role in ensuring access to high-quality anesthesia services in the ambulatory setting,” said Cindy Lunsford, EVP/COO and President of TidalHealth Medical Partners.
Dr. Kim, a married father of two, joins TidalHealth from the University of Florida-Central Florida Health Hospital where he served on the Peer Review and Quality Committees, and was also the Chief of Anesthesia.
