Talk: “Heck No, We Won’t Go”
The South Dorchester Folk Museum presents speaker and local historian Phillip Hesser. Hesser, teaches history at Salisbury University and has a special place in his heart of the Eastern Shore of Maryland and specifically Southern Dorchester.
The talk will be about the fateful day that Dochester volunteers were dispatched from Fort Upton in Salisbury for service in Delaware during the Civil War.
The event will take place at 7pm on August 7th at the Robbins Center located at the Heritage Museums and Gardens of Dorchester.
The program is free and open to the public. The South Dorchester Folk Museum, in cooperation with the Dorchester County Historical Society, presents this free program as part of its lecture series about local history. For more about the SDFM, go to www.sdfmuseum.net or call 410-228-6175.
