Heralding Heroes at Juneteenth Weekend

On June 14, at 6 p.m. at the Dorchester Center for the Arts, please enjoy a Free reception with Dr. Clara Small, followed by a Historical overview of all Dorchester's Colored Troops in the Civil War at 7 pm (Suggested donation $5)

On June 15 at 12 noon at the Dorchester County Courthousee there will be a Memorial Service honoring all Colored Troops who died during the Civil War with VFW MD Honor Guard presenting.
Then, at 12:30 pm, Heralding Heroes Juneteenth Celebration. All 130 Colored Troops from Dorchester who were present for the first Juneteenth in Texas will be honored by name. Musical selections.
