This year, players will spend the day on the links at Green Hill Country Club in Quantico, MD. Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester County students in grades 6 through 12 may submit one piece of fine art in any media including painting, drawing, collage, mixed media, photography, sculpture or video. Works must have opioid or other drug and/or alcohol addiction awareness as the subject matter. An emphasis on hope for/maintaining recovery is encouraged. Submissions must
United Ways in Maryland today announced a joint effort to survey families affected by the pandemic throughout the state. The COVID-19 Survey will aim to gather information from residents about how their employment, housing and basic needs have been impacted. On Saturday, December 5th, United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore held their Home for the Holidays Live Stream Community Event. United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore is hosting the 2020 Holiday Mask-erade Contest. A fundraising event where individuals and teams can decorate a disposable (KN-95, pleated or cup style) masks and submit a picture of someone wearing it. Entry Fees are $25 for an individual and $50 for a group or team. All proceeds will benefit United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore (UWLES) and the 40 agencies that UWLES funds.
