On Wednesday, April 17, Wor-Wic Community College's Radiologic Technology Class of 2024 presented the Golden Apple Award to Whitney Ballard, Radiologic Technologist at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.
Each year, Wor-Wic's Radiologic Technology students present the Golden Apple Award to a TidalHealth staff technologist who was highly influential to their growth and development throughout their clinical time at TidalHealth’s Salisbury hospital.
Ballard was selected for this year's award because of her extensive knowledge in all areas of radiology. The students voiced their appreciation for Ballard, noting that she answered any questions they had and was understanding if they made mistakes, which proved to be great opportunities to learn, grow and improve. The students ended by stating that Ballard sets a good example for students through her knowledge and work ethic.
