• Dr. Kathryn Fiddler named One of Maryland's Top 100 Women



    The Daily Record has named Kathryn Fiddler, DNP, MBA, MSN, FNAP, RN to its 2024 listing of Maryland’s Top 100 Women. Dr. Fiddler, TidalHealth’s Vice President of Population Health, is a two-time recipient of this honor (2024, 2019).

    In its 29th year, Maryland’s Top 100 Women was founded to recognize outstanding achievements by women demonstrated through professional accomplishments, community leadership and mentoring. 

    “The 2024 Maryland’s Top 100 Women, including Dr. Fiddler, are exemplary leaders from a variety of professions across the state. They make significant contributions to their organizations and communities and are committed to mentoring to elevate future women leaders,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, Managing Director of BridgeTower Media/The Daily Record. 

    Dr. Fiddler was nominated by Dr. Angela Brittingham, TidalHealth’s Chief Nursing Executive and Jessica Hales, President, TidalHealth Foundation. They wrote that “Dr. Fiddler is uniting and encouraging leader and mentor who helps her team and others to achieve excellence they otherwise could not have on their own”. She was also praised for “not only being an outstanding professional but also a remarkable human being who has continually demonstrated her commitment to excellence, supporting and empowering women and bettering her community.”

    Prior to returning to TidalHealth in 2016, Dr. Fiddler worked for CareFirst in Baltimore, as Senior Director for one of the largest Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) programs in the country.  As well as being an RN, she is a retired United States Air Force Major who. earned both her Master’s of Nursing and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from Salisbury University.  Her nursing career began in the TidalHealth Emergency Department.

    In her senior leadership role, Dr. Fiddler’s responsibilities include population health initiatives across the continuum of care. She has led the transformation of Population Health for TidalHealth to a program that now touches thousands of people on the Delmarva Peninsula. 

    Maryland's Top 100 Women will be honored at a reception and awards celebration on May 6 at The Lyric Baltimore.
