• Crossroads Community, Inc. holds 2023 Annual Holiday & Client Awards Celebration

Centreville, MD, December 8th, 2023 - Crossroads Community, Inc. recently held their Annual Client Holiday & Awards Celebration, which was a resounding success, encompassing the presentation of 261 awards to clients in recognition of their unwavering dedication and hard work. Areas of recognition include achievements in the areas of resiliency, milestones in recovery and highlighting some of the amazing inspirational recovery stories of our clients.

Our Executive Director, Holly Ireland and Delegate Steve Arentz.

Beyond the client awards, several significant honors were bestowed upon Crossroads Community and our esteemed community partners. Particularly notable was the presentation of an Official Citation by Delegate Steve Arentz, representing the Queen Anne’s County Delegation, to honor the 40th year of Crossroads Community and Corsica River. This official recognition acknowledged their exceptional efforts in providing rehabilitation and accessible treatment to residents on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

John F. Plaskon, Lieutenant Larrimore, Chief Hobbs, and our Program Director, Kara Morris.

Adding to the accolades, Chestertown Nursing and Rehab received a well-deserved Certificate of Appreciation from Crossroads Community, praising their steadfast commitment to both our clients and staff. The Centreville Police Department was honored with the prestigious 1st Annual John F. Plaskon Special Recognition Award for their pivotal role in dispelling the stigma surrounding mental health and their unwavering support for Crossroads Community. By recognizing the mental health stigma, these officers are not only safeguarding communities but also working to break down barriers that may prevent individuals from seeking the help they need. It's worth noting that the John F. Plaskon award is named in honor of the former Executive Director of Crossroads Community, John F. Plaskon, commemorating his many years of dedication.

In a fitting conclusion to the event, we seized the opportunity to spotlight the exceptional contributions of Grace Hopkins, Melinda Turner, Noah Farris, and Daniel Trombley from our team. Their outstanding work with Crossroads Community was acknowledged with gratitude and admiration, adding a meaningful touch to the culmination of this memorable occasion.
