Make a Joyful Noise Spring Concert

The Chorus of Dorchester presents “Make A Joyful Noise” – their Spring concert to benefit the two Dorchester County High School Choral programs.  The concert will be located at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, 5401 Whitehall Rd and US Route 50, Cambridge on Friday, May 31^st at 7:00 pm.  There will be free admission, but a love offering will be taken during intermission to benefit programs and students in our schools.  The Chorus is a 501c3 Nonprofit organization that wants to see the beauty of singing continue with our youth.  The Chorus of Dorchester was founded in 1975 to prepare for America’s Bi-Centennial celebration and has been under the direction of Virginia “Cookie” Brohawn ever since.  They are accompanied on the piano by Laura Todd and also from several members using their talents on violin, flute, congas and organ.  The 60 plus members in the chorus are all volunteer members ranging from Grandparents to High School students.
