52nd Annual W.T. Ruark Fishing Tournament

Food orders will begin at 2 pm
Fish registration from 3-5 pm
Followed by preesntation of trophies and awards
Held at and Benefits the Hoopers Island Volunteer Fire Company
Registration Ticket - $5 - and must be purchased by 7 p..m. on Saturday, May 31st.
Tickets are available at the following locations:
R&D Boat Supply, Gootee's Marine, Woolford General Store, Taylors Island Campground, Boats & Hose Restaurant, Hoopers Island General Store, P.L. Jones Boat Yard, Old Salty's Restaurant.
You must be 5 years or older to register ALL fish.
Rules may be reviewed on the back of the tickets.
2025 W.T. Ruark Fishing Tournament Categories:
Trout, Hardhead, Spot, Perch, Catfish, Rockfish, Snakehead
The following prizes and trophies will be awarded for each of the above 7 fish categories:
Adult 1st: $100  Adult 2nd $50  Child 5-11 $50  Youth 12-17 $50
**Old Salty's Also donates $20 to all youth and child winners in the 7 fish categories**
The following prizes will be chosen from the entries in the above 7 fish categories:
Gootees Cash prize for longest hardhead caught: $100
Nich artright Memorial Trophy +$75 for Youth ages 12-17 catching longest fish
Frederick Malkus Memorial Award for Woman 18+ catching longest fish
Eddie Simmons Memorial Award +$50 for child age 5-11 for longest perch
Melvin Paul Trophy for child 5-11 catching longest trout
The following prizes will be chosen from EVERYONE who registers a fish in the tournament. All legal size entries are eligible. Their tickets will be put into raffle jars to be drawn at the end of the registration period:
The Billy Ruark Memorial Award & $100 for Age 18+
The Allan Ruark Memorial Award & $50 for ages 12-17
HIVFC Trophy and $50 for a child ages 5-11
