Emergency Preparedness Meeting

DO YOU KNOW WHERE TO GO IN AN EMERGENCY?

Do you know what to do - or where to go - during a severe storm, prolonged power outage, or major fire?

I am willing to bet the answer is no, and that is why it is so important for you to attend this informative meeting.
We will review existing emergency plans, including the Town of East New Market Water and Sewer Emergency Plan and the Dorchester County Emergency Plan adopted by the Town. We will also hear from Dorchester county emergency personnel and representatives of the East New Market Volunteer Fire Department.
With severe weather events becoming more intense and the unsertainty that surrounds us, it is the duty of the Mayor and Council to make sure our citizens are informed, prepared, and know where to turn during an emergency.

This meeting is not limited to East New Market citizens. It is open to all North Dorchester County residents who want to be better prepared.
