• United Way Celebrates Community with 19th Annual Holiday Ball

United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore (UWLES) recently held their 19th Annual Holiday Ball at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort in Cambridge, MD, raising over $182,000 through sponsorships, a virtual auction and  other event activities. Randy Scott, from Froggy 99.9’s Whiskey and Randy Show, returned as the evening’s emcee.  Guests enjoyed live music by Gold City, a delicious gourmet dinner along with specialty drinks, treats and late-night fare presented by the Hyatt.

“Sharing the positive change our donors, partners and volunteers drive in our community is worth celebrating, and this event is the perfect way to usher in the season of giving and build needed support for our neighbors as we head into 2023,” shared Pam Gregory, President/CEO of UWLES.  “We are so thankful for the sponsors, donors and volunteers who make this event successful. Special thanks goes to our Holiday Ball committee, led by co-chairs Rush Stehley and Briana Mattern, who work alongside UWLES staff to make the holiday magic happen.  We can’t wait to make it even more special for our 20th Annual Ball next December.”
