SALISBURY – Steve Leonard, Ph.D., MBA, FACHE, President/CEO of TidalHealth, today announced that Cindy Lunsford has been appointed President of the health system’s network of employed providers and support personnel in primary care and specialty care offices on Delmarva Peninsula.
Lunsford, who will continue to also serve as TidalHealth’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), will assume her additional role on April 6.
She joined TidalHealth in 2005 as the Vice President of Professional and Ambulatory Services and assumed the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer role in 2009. She became the health system’s Chief Operating Officer in 2020.
In her expanded role, she will be responsible for leading the team of more than 300 providers across 24 specialties at 32 locations on Delmarva.
Lunsford, whose healthcare career began as a registered nurse, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Master of Science degree in Nursing Administration from Medical College of Georgia. She has a Master of Business Administration degree from Augusta State University, an Executive Masters in Healthcare Leadership from Brown University, and a Masters of Applied Science in Population Health from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
