DELMARVA ENDOSCOPY CENTER TEMPORARILY SUSPENDS OPERATIONS

In accordance with Maryland Governor Hogan’s directive this week to cease all elective and non-urgent procedures, the Peninsula Regional Health System (PRHS) today officially temporarily suspended operations of its Delmarva Endoscopy Center in the Ocean Pines Health Pavilion.

Patients have not been seen there since the Governor’s order on Tuesday, and all with appointments in the foreseeable future have been contacted.

Additionally, elective endoscopy services at Peninsula Regional Medical Center were suspended earlier this week. Emergency procedures meeting the criteria from the Maryland Secretary of Health can be supported at Peninsula Regional as those needs arise.

PRHS is committed to a return to normal endoscopy business when the emergency measures are lifted. Affected patients will be rescheduled.

The Peninsula Regional Health System thanks everyone who has been impacted for their patience and understanding. Please continue to vigorously and regularly wash your hands with soap and water and sanitize when you can. Practice social distancing, stay indoors and isolate as often as possible.
