DESCRIPTION:The Dorchester Faith Alliance\, comprised of clergy and lay members of several congregations in Cambridge and Dorchester County\, is again sponsoring a series of Lunches on the Tuesdays in Lent.\n\n Everyone gathers from noon until 1 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church. There is no charge for the lunch\, but a freewill offering is accepted. The simple lunches (soup\, sandwich\, light dessert) are provided by area churches.\n\n The dates for this year's lunches are March 12\, 19\, 26 and April 2\, 9.\n\n Over the last several months\, the Faith Alliance has been actively involved in creating community opportunities for gathering to pray for peace and find ways to become a peacebuilding presence in this community.\n\n This year\, they have asked the speakers to focuse on peacebuilding within the local community. The speakers will be:\n\n March 12: Fr. Bernard Schroeder\, Christ Episcopal Church\n March 19: Greg Meekins\n March 26: Victoria Jackson-Stanley\, Mayor of Cambridge\n April 2: Steven Rideout\, Cambridge City Council\n April 9: Pastor Robert White\, chair of the Dorchester Faith Alliance\n\n All are welcome to join everyone for a time of fellowship\, food\, and challenge as we move through Lent and seek together to be the churches of Cambridge and Dorchester County.\n\n\n\n"Not everything that is faced can be changed.
