Johnny O'Brien, leadership coach and author, has a unique life story. At the age of three, Johnny was sent to live at the Milton Hershey School orphanage, where he attracted the attention of supportive mentors and coaches. He went on to earn a full scholarship to Princeton where he majored in Psychology, and currently serves as Trustee Emeritus, then to Johns Hopkins for a MA in Educational Leadership and Administration.
Johnny returned to the Milton Hershey School as its President from 2002 to 2009.
In 1978 Johnny founded Renaissance Leadership – one of the first firms devoted to leadership development. He served as CEO for 26 years, and coached Fortune 500 executives and their leadership teams on enlightened leadership and high performance teamwork. Renaissance Leadership's clients ranged from American Express and Pfizer to AT&T and Smith Barney. Johnny's remarkable full circle journey is captured in his memoir titled, Semisweet: An Orphan's Journey Through the School the Hersheys Built.
