DESCRIPTION:Shucking Contest is Cancelled. Ice Festival is still on as planned.\n\n\n\nCambridge Ice and Oyster Festival Oyster Shucking and Slurping Relay \n\n\n\nThe contest will be held during the Cambridge Ice and Oyster Festival that is featuring over 30 ice sculptures. The event will consist of two person teams working to together to shuck and slurp one dozen oysters. \n\n\n\nAt the sound of the starter whistle the shucker will start on the first oyster. Once all twelve oysters have been shucked and the shucker is no longer in contact with any oyster the slurper will begin the process of eating the oysters. Once all twelve oysters are eaten and the last shell is on the table not being touched the clock will stop. All shells must remain on the table top and an inspection for any oyster parts remaining will be done by the judges. A 1/10 of a second penalty will be added for each oyster part found or any shells not remaining on the table. \n\n\n\nRegistration is limited to the first 12 teams.
