The Face and Taste of Historic Downtown Cambridge
The streets of downtown were closed off to traffic and filled to the brim with over 800 people for CAMBRIDGE MAINSTREET'S "The Taste of Cambridge" event, which unfolded amid a block-party atmosphere and featured live music, lots of food vendors, children’s activities, and more. Competitions in watermelon eating, crab picking and the hula-hoop with prizes were held.
Here's the list of mouth watering Crab Specialties that was prepared for the attendees:
Bella Luna: crab gazpacho, crab and artichoke dip
Bistro Poplar: spicy crab salad in a ginger crepe
Blue Point Provision Company at the Hyatt Chesapeake Bay Resort: crab and corn chowder
Cambridge Yacht Club: crab dip, crab cake
Clearview at Horn's Point: crab balls
Finish Line Sports Bar & Grill: cream of crab soup
Jimmie & Sook's Raw Bar and Grill: cream of crab soup, crab dip, crab cake
Kool's Carry-Out: crab dip
Ocean Odyssey: cream of crab soup
Portside: cream of crab soup, crab dip, crab bruschetta
Snapper's Waterfront Cafe: crab dip
Water's Edge Grill at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort: miniature lump crab cakes, grilled corn, ripe tomato and fresh chive butter sauce
Also, as a bonus dish, Ocean Odyssey served Choptank freshly shucked Oysters
