HEARING ON RESIDENT DELEGATE BILL

SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, MARCH 21, 2011 AT 2:00 PM

 

 

            (Annapolis, MD) - The House Rules and Executive Nominations Committee will hold a hearing on House Bill 50 on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 2pm.  House Bill 50 was introduced by Delegate Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio and is intended to provide every county in the State a resident delegate. 

The bill is cosponsored by all of the members of the Caroline County Delegation which includes Delegates Addie Eckardt, Steve Hershey, Jay Jacobs and Michael Smigiel.  Senator Richard Colburn has cross filed the bill in the Senate. 

Matt Teffeau, a Caroline County resident, will testify along with Caroline County Commissioners Larry C. Porter and Wilbur Levengood Jr., Jerry Garey Mayor-Town of Greensboro, Ronald Stafford- Hillsboro Town Council and Sandi Barry, President, Caroline County Board of Education
