Blackwater Refuge 2010 Deer Hunt Season Application Deadline

The Chesapeake Film Festival is expanding to Cambridge!

Now in its third year, the festival showcases the finest in narrative, documentary and short film. More than 30 films, everything from a Polish documentary to animation to an Eastern Shore tribute, will be shown in four towns on the Eastern Shore on Sept. 25-26 — Cambridge, as well as Easton, Oxford, and St. Michaels. In Cambridge, seven films will be screened at Gallery 447 at 447 Race Street. The festival is open to the public. Free Prostate Cancer Screening for Mid-Shore Men 
5:00 pm and 8:00 pm at the Talbot County Health Department, at 100 S. Hanson Street in Easton. Appointments are required.
The free health service is open to men age 35 and older who live in any Mid-Shore county. The screening is also offered to men as young as age 30 if they are at higher risk for prostate cancer, specifically African American men and those with a family history of prostate cancer.Urologists from Shore Comprehensive Urology will conduct the prostate cancer screening, which includes a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test and a physical examination.

Christmas Garden of Trains at Old Fire House on Gay St. Cambridge, MD

Gaze in wonder at this holiday-themed train display at the Cambridge Rescue and Fire Company in historic downtown Cambridge. Perfect for all ages! The Train Garden features little towns, industrial areas, rural areas, scenic areas and several emergency rescue displays. The display, now in its 76th year, has grown to 14 trains running on 750 feet of track, and is created each year by the volunteers with the Cambridge Rescue Fire Company. It takes six RFC members  nine weeks and more than 400 man-hours to assemble the Train Garden. This display runs from December 1st to December 30th, 2010. Hours of Operation are: Monday through Friday from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1–4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. FREE Admission. Refreshments are sold. We accept donations and non-perishable food items for our Christmas Drive. Call 410-228-1211 for more information or to make reservations for large groups.
