Dorchester Chamber of Commerce, Cambridge MD

Allen Nelson, Executive Director of the Dorchester Chamber shares a brief moment with Maryland State Comptroller,Peter Franchot just before the Comptroller speaks at our Annual Membership Dinner that took place on February 8, 2012 at Sailwinds Cambridge, Governors Hall, Cambridge, MD 

Sailwinds Cambridge Governors Hall was the setting of our 66th Annual Membership Dinner. Dressed in beautiful table settings, the tables were also adorned with motif-matching "fountain display" centerpieces that added to a wonderfully decorated hall that seated 275 dinner guests that night.

Adjudant General Jim Adkins of Cambridge Maryland looks on as his long time friend Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot takes his place as our Key Note speaker of the evening.  Mr. Franchot delivered a message of his promise to stand firm on his position of state spending and taxes. 

All proceeds from the dinner as seen here were presented in the form of a huge check for the restoration and repair of the World War I Veterans Fountain at Longwharf in care of the The Rotary Club. The check was for the amount of $6300!
